If you can't take the time to get to know your customers, why should they take their time to buy your products?

I see so many join, spam their links all over and just leave. A few post like 2 messages, trying to pretend they care, they leave their links, and we never hear from them again.

Lets put it this way, mostly all of the spam ends up deleted. I'm also starting to get annoyed with people that come here make a couple hello posts only to leave again till the next week.

From now on, if you aren't an active participant, your signature won't be shown. I've just had enough with the whole spamming and the pretenders. They participate long enough to get their signature shown, and then they are gone. No more.

With all of this spamming, no wonder we are having such a tough time getting active participants. Maybe allowing people to link to their site was just a bad idea, because so far, people seem to not really want to participate but rather dump their links and leave. >:Pi

Right Age to Tell Them About Tooth Fairy and Santa

Mine are 6 and 7, and still have no clue as to the identity of the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus. They do know about the Easter Bunny as traditions were changed last year. Plus, they've seen enough bunnies to know the probability of a bunny buying them candy and such isn't high on the probability list.

However, the Tooth Fairy and Santa elude them. Last Christmas I was about to let the cat out as they were really treating me like crap. Unfortunately, since Santa is bringing them the presents, Mommy can just go deal as treating Mommy nice isn't a requirement for Santa. Even though Mommy shells out a boat load of cash that time of year, it's Santa that rewards them so nicely.

The Tooth Fairy is a similar situation. Mommy get called every name in the book, because she's so cheap. I mean the Tooth Fairy gives them $2 per tooth, and Mommy don't pay them for anything, because she's so cheap.>:Pi

No, I've never missed a tooth either. There was one tooth that Timothy lost that we didn't put it under the pillow that same night, so I caught an earful the next day. It was the day the puppies got fixed or something with the puppies, and I was just swamped. I normally package their teeth up in a little envelope and let them decorate it. Somehow that night, I just forgot all about it.

Yes, those two are stealing a lot of my thunder. Unfortunately, what I do like buy the kids stuff isn't on the great list. It's Santa and the Tooth Fairy that really make their lives special. 8-}i

We aren't as last years garden got drowned out and was a total waste of time. I told Greg the area he was making his garden was too wet, but of course, he knows best. 8-|i

Last year was very wet here in MN, and no ones gardens did very well at tall. Ours was in a low area of the yard, so it didn't have much of a chance. We have a lot of class 5, which is a small rocks/sand mixture around most of the yard, and the back area closest to our empty field is black dirt. The dirt is really nice for a garden, but it just gets too wet. It would be perfect for the dry summer, but since there isn't much sand or rocks, there isn't a lot of drainage. yeB)

At least Greg has been keeping up on the mowing. He isn't fond of letting others like me use his rider...lol The more he mows though, the less thistle and nasty weeds we will have. Grass really likes it when you cut often so it can fill in any needed areas. BTW, I am selling dandelion seeds if anyone is interested..lol We have a lot of them, but hey, they are much better than thistle (ouch!).zB)

I was taking their rawhide chews and getting them damp, so the puppies could chew them better and eat them up. Then I thought how funny it was that I was giving into their laziness by softening the chews up for them. Silly dogs.

They don't like to have to chew on new bones, because the ones that have been chewed on a bit are softer to gnaw on. Usually, Buddy will chew up a bone and then Princess will try to steal it from him cause it's nice and soft.

Well, here I was pulling some older ones apart cause when they get down a bit, then the dogs ignore them. If I pull them apart and get them wet, the puppies will chew on them again.

Would love to hear from anyone out there with some suggestions.
I'm in a quandry.
Been with a lovely chap for 3 years. Can't stand his kids! They are 30 and 28 and behave like childish teenagers. the son is an arrogant, self obsessed individual who thinks he's gods gift. The daughter is attention seeking and very good a pretending.
Partner and I are planning on buying a house together, but he is adamant that his kids can come around any time, unannounced at any time of the day and night.
It's my money that's buying the house - he will get a small mortgage to cover the remainder of the cost, but I will own 68% and it appears my thoughts or feelings don't matter. he said it will be his house and his kids are welcome any time.
I'm getting cold feet about it all as I don't want to get tied into something that could potentially be a disaster for me. I like peace and quiet and this is the first house I will ever have owned. Help!!

I have so many thoughts in my head and so many opinions that others might not share. I keep wondering to myself whether or not I should just get it out there and see what happens.

Normally, I try to play it safe as to not offend anyone, but that doesn't seem to matter much. I usually end up offending without even knowing it. o:-$

I still have no idea what I should do with that blog. Should I plaster it with entertainment stuff and have it be like a TMZ blog full of the latest gossip? No, I don't follow that stuff much so I'll have to be visiting other sites for the latest scoop...lol

I suppose I could use it to post my unpopular opinions on issues. The only problem with that is that no one else will want to post on it...lol Well, unless they'd like to rant like me and want to keep the arguing limited to comments. Yes, ranting is fun, and it's nice at times just to be able to rant and then move on...haha.

Even though this forum is based in the US, we welcome women from all around the globe.

With that being said, I don't expect members to get upset if I post something US related like politics. If you don't live in the US, feel free to post issues about your local politics and ignore mine. I certainly mean no disrespect if I post something about our upcoming elections.8)i

If you'd like to chat with women in your own country only, you are free to start a social group and to create threads centered around your country. Since we do want to include all women in this forum, we're really not interested in blocking women out or making them feel unwelcome. However, if you create a thread centered on your country, no one is going to take offense or post anything negative.

We've put a lot of work into the forum. For members to try and use what we have created and create some type of alternate forum using our Facebook groups etc., is not fair. If I post something you don't like, feel free to let me know. That does not justify anyone stomping on this forum and creating their own, and then trying to gain our support for them. There are many other forums in existence on the internet, so you shouldn't need to step on our backs for yours to succeed. >:(i

I was wondering if any of you know anyone or you have been to Curves for Women and had success losing inches? I had a membership for a short while several years ago, but wasn't committed. Now that I have a nutritionist, I am prepared to stick with it. I have been doing Wii Zumba and other at home exercises, but I am looking for a little more variety.
I welcome both positive and negative experiences for sharing. Thanks in advance for your opinions.o:)

I have lost a ton of weight lately and I am really happy with my body. I'm still sticking to the same nutrition as I was when I first started to lose weight and also about the same amount of exercise / workout.

I'm still really happy with my diet (as in the things i eat everyday) but I've started to feel slightly nauseous later in the evening. Don't get my wrong, it is nothing serious but I'm just curious what could be causing the nausea.
My husband has been following the exact same diet, also great results but no nausea complaints whatsoever.

Lost 12 pounds in the first month.
Another 9 pounds the 2 months after that.
Now in shape, happy with my body etc. Just some final toning that I'm working on right now.

Help very much appreciated.

So many times I've heard/seen addicts say that even though they are an addict, they didn't take drugs while pregnant. Unfortunately, I just don't believe them.

There is an episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta where Kim K. is seen sneaking smokes constantly and drinking. Yet, she maintains that she quit everything when she was pregnant with each child. Of course the smoking done and alcohol consumed before she knew she was pregnant doesn't count.

Snooki is similar. She obviously has a drinking problem on Jersey Shore and is seen chain smoking all day. Yet, we are supposed to believe that she just quit all of that cold turkey during her pregnancy.

If it's so darn easy to quit smoking while a woman is pregnant, how come she's still addicted to the cigarettes as soon as she delivers? You can't tell me that a smoking, alcohol or drug addiction can just hibernate for 9 months.

Of course I know that some women are able to, but I just don't see most women really being able to kick such habits just because they are pregnant. Yes, it would be nice if they could. Then, there would be many less addicted babies born each year.

I see this so much on other forums and thought I would address it here.

If you even have the slightest thought that you might be pregnant for whatever reasons, the best thing to do is just to go out and get a pregnancy test right away. If you are afraid of someone finding out, you don't really even have to take the test home. All you need to do is purchase the test and walk out of the store. Put the test, bag and receipt in your purse and walk back into the store. Go to the bathroom and take the test. Since there aren't any rules about hanging out in the bathroom, you can just wait it out there. Be sure to throw the box and papers away so no one will find them lingering in your purse.

At least that way you will know for sure. I see so many women sit around and ponder the idea and give signs and symptoms of why they think they are pregnant. By the time you have any physical reactions, mostly all pregnancy tests will tell you for sure whether you are or not. Just be sure to follow the directions.

Otherwise, your symptoms may be a serious illness and your pregnancy assumption is causing you not to seek the medical treatment you desperately need.

So, if you've been speculating that you could be pregnant for the last week or two, just go get a test and get it over with. They are not that expensive, and are super easy to use.

I haven't been there in a while, and thought I'd see what all was going on. To my surprise, the Parent's Lounge for K12 is closing on June 1st, 2012 along with their thebigthinK12 community.

I really must say that I do think it was a wise decision. There were so many topics being discussed that really had no business being discussed on a K12 sponsored forum or community.

Everything was debated on the Parent's Lounge forums. There were debates about religion, and many condemning parents that didn't follow their advice. Some members were even accusing others of child abuse by not teaching a child different religions and all of the other viewpoints that exist in the world.

Therefore, I must give K12 a pat on the back for closing the Parent's Lounge and thebigthinK12 Communities. It's always better to keep discussions like that away from children and away from public education.zB)

They email you an order cancellation from Amazon that looks pretty legitimate. However, if you hover over the links, you can clearly see that the urls are pointing to another site.

As with any email, be sure to hover over links before you click on them. If you're really concerned, delete the email and go directly to the site in question.

Along with these Amazon order cancellations, I am seeing a lot of Paypal, Walmart and even Wells Fargo fake emails. They keep trying different companies hoping that you will be a member of at least one of them and think the email is legit.
